One application. Eligible lenders, considered in sequence.

Ottri is a financing platform for bathroom remodelers: one branded application the homeowner fills out on their own phone, reviewed by participating lenders one after another. Ottri Global LLC is a licensed loan broker (NMLS 2776988), not a lender.

Most bath financing costs you something. Ottri costs nothing.

−$1,200

The fee on a 12-month promo

Promotional plans like 12 months no interest usually cost the business a fee: about 8% of the amount financed on published schedules, or roughly $1,200 on a $15,000 bath. Long 0% plans can cost two to three times as much.

$2,000+

Yearly platform fees

Some financing platforms bill $2,000 to $6,000 a year, whether or not a single bathroom gets financed.

What happens when a homeowner is declined during the consultation?

The visit doesn’t have to end. The same application goes to the next eligible lender while the rep is still in the home, and the homeowner never starts over. Each lender sets its own credit bar, so one decline doesn’t decide the rest, and the homeowner still decides on their own time.

  • An in-home sale of $25 or more carries the federal 3-day right to cancel, even when the homeowner invited you.
  • Tell the homeowner about that right out loud, with forms in the language you sold in.
  • You can’t pass the note to a finance company before midnight of the fifth business day.
  • Each lender confirms the amount on your proposal.

What does a bathroom remodel cost in 2026?

It depends on the job, which is why averages disagree. A tub-to-shower conversion runs $1,200 to $12,000, a guest bath about $7,000 and a major primary bath $25,000 to $30,000 at the median. Homeowner surveys report $5,000 because they count small DIY updates. Quote the real job, then finance that.

  • Major bath remodels were 23% of bath jobs in 2023 but 65% of the money spent.
  • Imported vanities carry a 25% tariff, set to rise to 50% on January 1, 2027.
  • Ottri network programs range from $1,000 to $750,000.

Same application for every homeowner

How do we offer financing fairly to older homeowners?

Give every homeowner the same application, let them apply on their own device and leave time to decide. Welcome a family member if the homeowner wants one, but never fill in or sign an application for someone else. Some states give older buyers more time: California allows 5 business days at 65 and up.

  • California contracts must also give an email address for cancelling.
  • Illinois gives buyers 65 and older 15 business days when the solicitation was uninvited.
  • Florida penalties reach $15,000 per violation when the victim is 60 or older.
  • Offering financing to only some homeowners can break fair-lending rules. Offer it to everyone.

Does Medicare pay for a walk-in shower?

No. Original Medicare doesn’t pay for bathroom remodeling and doesn’t treat grab bars or bath seats as medical equipment. Some Medicare Advantage plans cover bathroom safety devices; very few cover construction. VA grants and some state Medicaid waivers can pay for real modifications, so check those first and finance the rest.

  • 21% of individual Medicare Advantage plans offered bathroom safety devices in 2026.
  • VA’s HISA grant pays up to $6,800 over a lifetime for a service-connected condition or a 50% or higher rating, $2,000 otherwise.
  • Only some medical home changes are tax-deductible. Don’t promise a tax benefit.
  • Never promise a grant or a Medicare payment.

Bathroom remodeling financing questions, answered.

A bath installer and a homeowner look over the financing options on a tablet in her remodeled bathroom.

How do bathroom remodelers offer financing to customers?

Bath companies offer financing during the consultation, when the homeowner sees the proposal, so the job can be paid monthly instead of all at once. With Ottri, your rep shares one branded application by link, QR code or text, the homeowner fills it out on their own phone, and participating lenders review it in turn. On eligible programs the lender pays your business, and Ottri charges you nothing. In 2023, major bath remodels averaged $25,377 and made up 65% of all bath remodeling dollars.

We already offer our brand or dealer network’s financing. Can we use Ottri too?

Yes. Keep your brand’s program for the homeowners it approves and the promotions it runs. Use Ottri for the rest: homeowners that program declines and jobs outside its promotion. Some dealer agreements say which lender must see an application first, so check yours before you send.

How do we sell financing fairly to older homeowners?

Offer the same application to every homeowner, let them apply on their own device and give them time. Welcome a family member if the homeowner wants one. Your reps never fill in or sign an application for a homeowner; a relative with legal authority, such as a power of attorney, follows the lender’s process. State the right to cancel out loud: California gives buyers 65 and older 5 business days.

Does the 3-day right to cancel apply if the homeowner invited us?

Yes. Under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule, an in-home sale of $25 or more counts even when the homeowner asked for the visit. You must tell the buyer about the right orally, give the forms in the language of the sale, and you can’t pass the note to a finance company before midnight of the fifth business day.

What does Ottri cost a bath company? Do lenders charge dealer fees?

Ottri costs your business nothing: no sign-up fee, no subscription and no percentage of your jobs. Promotional plans such as 12 months no interest can carry a lender fee; published schedules put it around 8% of the amount financed, about $1,200 on a $15,000 bath. If you offer one, make sure the homeowner knows deferred interest can be charged if the balance isn’t paid in time.

Does Medicare pay for a walk-in shower or bath modifications?

No. Original Medicare doesn’t cover bathroom remodeling and doesn’t treat grab bars or bath seats as medical equipment. Some Medicare Advantage plans cover bathroom safety devices, and very few cover construction. VA grants and some state Medicaid programs can help pay for modifications, so point homeowners there first and finance what’s left.

When does the lender pay us?

It depends on the program. Some lenders pay once the documents are signed and many pay after the homeowner confirms the job is complete; the dashboard shows each job’s next step. Either way the homeowner’s right to cancel still runs, so plan material orders around it. In California, beyond a down payment of $1,000 or 10%, whichever is less, a contractor can’t take payment ahead of the work done or materials delivered, even from a lender.

What do I need to sign up?

Create your account online and upload your business details and EIN, contractor license, proof of insurance, a sample customer contract, the owner’s ID and the bank account for lender payments. No minimums apply to sign up. Each lender then reviews your business on its own terms.

Who approves the financing and sends the funds?

The participating lender decides, sets the rate and term, and on eligible programs sends the money to your business, not the homeowner. Ottri Global LLC is a licensed loan broker, NMLS 2776988, and is not a lender.

Can we offer a cash discount or a today-only price?

Keep one price for cash and financed homeowners, and skip today-only discounts. Charging financed buyers more can count as a hidden finance charge under federal lending rules, and a price that disappears if the homeowner uses their right to cancel can misrepresent that right. Ottri adds no fee, so there’s nothing to price in.
