Multi-lender window and door financing for contractors.
In a one-call close, one lender’s no shouldn’t end the appointment. Ottri passes one branded application from lender to lender, so the homeowner gets more than one chance, and charges your company nothing.
Reps send it at the kitchen table by link, QR code or text.

One application. Eligible lenders, considered in sequence.
Ottri is a financing platform for window and door companies: one branded application, sent at the kitchen table, that participating lenders consider in turn. Ottri Global LLC is a licensed loan broker (NMLS 2776988), not a lender.
Window promotions usually cost the dealer. Ottri costs you nothing.

The homeowner can decide after the rep goes; the 3-day right to cancel still applies.
What happens when a homeowner is declined during a one-call close?
The appointment doesn’t have to end there. When the promotional lender says no, Ottri sends the same application to the next eligible lender, with no new paperwork. Each lender sets its own criteria, so the next one may decide differently. Whatever comes back, the homeowner can take the offer home and decide later.
- The federal 3-day right covers in-home sales of $25 or more, even booked appointments.
- Some states give older buyers longer: California allows 5 business days at 65 and up.
- Hold the factory order until the cancellation window closes.
- Same application and same price for every homeowner, at any age.

When do we get paid on a custom window order?
Usually after install, which is why the order of steps matters. Sign, let the cancellation period pass, take the final measure, then order within your state’s deposit limits. Most programs on the Ottri network pay once the homeowner confirms the install; some pay at signing. Lead times run weeks, longer for impact units, so check each lender’s conditions first.
- California caps a down payment at $1,000 or 10%, whichever is less.
- In Florida, a deposit over 10% starts a 30-day permit clock and a 90-day start clock.
- Approvals expire; confirm yours covers the lead time and install date before you order.
- Beyond the down payment, California bars collecting ahead of the work, even from a lender.

Typical installed cost, 2025–2026
Census and HUD (2023); Fixr (2025–2026); This Old House (2026); Cost vs Value (2025)
| Job | Typical cost | Programs that often fit |
|---|---|---|
| One replacement window | About $800 | Cash |
| Entry door | $1,000–$2,500 | CashInstallment |
| Sliding patio door | About $2,500 | Installment |
| 10–15 windows | $8,000–$12,000 | Installment |
| 10 vinyl windows, pro rates | About $22,000 | Installment |
| All projects, incl. DIY (2021–23) | $2,800 median | CashInstallment |
What do window and door replacements cost in 2026?
It depends on how many openings and what kind. A single replacement window averages about $800, a typical 10 to 15 window job runs $8,000 to $12,000, and a 10-window vinyl job at full contractor rates is about $22,000. Homeowner surveys report a $2,800 median because they include single doors and small jobs. Quote the real scope, then finance that.
- A 10-window vinyl replacement recoups about 75.5% of its cost at resale.
- In the year to September 2026, metal window and door prices rose 7.1%; aluminum extrusions 26.3%.
- Replacement window demand fell 5% in 2025, with a 4% drop forecast for 2026.

No federal credit on 2026 installs
What about tax credits, ENERGY STAR and Florida impact windows?
There’s no federal credit for windows or doors installed in 2026; it ended after December 31, 2025, and the IRS counts the installation date. ENERGY STAR is still funded and moving to the Department of Energy. In Florida, eligible homesteads can claim a sales-tax refund of up to $500, and state grants reimburse only after a final inspection.
- Florida insurers grade the weakest opening, so a partial impact job may earn no discount.
- In pre-1978 homes, window replacement is never a minor repair under the lead-safe rule.
- Lead-safe violations can cost up to $49,772 each.
- Don’t promise a credit, rebate or insurance discount.

Window and door financing questions, answered.

How do window and door companies offer financing to customers?
Window companies offer financing during the in-home consultation, alongside the quote, so the homeowner can pay for the job monthly. With Ottri, the rep opens one branded application from the quote, the homeowner fills it in on their own phone, and participating lenders take it one at a time; on eligible programs the lender pays your company, and Ottri charges nothing. A typical 10 to 15 window replacement runs $8,000 to $12,000, and premium in-home lines cost more.
What happens when the promo lender says no at the kitchen table?
It moves on. Ottri passes the same application to the next eligible lender, so the homeowner isn’t asked to reapply. Each lender applies its own criteria, so the next one may decide differently. If no lender approves, you’ll see that in the dashboard, and cash or a card is still an option.
What does a 0% promotion cost a window company?
Usually a fee taken from the job. One window dealer put the cost of a 0% rate at 5% to 18% in 2022, and a published 2019 schedule charged 7.99% for 12 months same-as-cash: about $1,280 on a $16,000 job. Ottri itself charges your company nothing; some lender programs, such as promotional plans, can carry a lender fee, and offering them is your choice.
When should we order custom windows on a financed job?
After the homeowner’s right to cancel has passed and the lender’s funding conditions are clear. An in-home sale carries the federal 3-day cancellation right, so ordering custom units sooner risks paying for windows nobody takes. Many programs pay after install, so check each lender’s conditions and keep deposits within your state’s limits.
Does the 3-day right to cancel apply to window sales in the home?
Yes. The FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule gives the homeowner until midnight of the third business day to cancel an in-home sale of $25 or more, even at an appointment they booked, and the rep must tell them out loud. A cancelled sale must be refunded within 10 business days. California allows buyers 65 and up 5 business days.
Can homeowners still get a tax credit for new windows or doors?
Not a federal one for 2026 installs. The federal credit ended for windows and doors installed after December 31, 2025, and the IRS goes by the installation date. Some states and utilities run their own programs, such as Florida’s sales-tax refund on impact windows. Don’t promise a credit; it isn’t tax advice.
Do Florida impact-window programs pay before the work?
No. My Safe Florida Home reimburses after a final inspection, counts only work done after its inspection approval, and got no new money in 2026. The sales-tax refund of up to $500, for eligible homesteads, is claimed after purchase with a receipt showing the tax. Never promise a grant or a refund.
What do I need to sign up?
Sign up online, then add your EIN and company details, your contractor license, an insurance certificate, a sample sales contract, the owner’s ID and your business bank account for deposits. There’s no minimum volume to join Ottri. Each lender reviews your company separately and sets its own requirements, such as time in business.
Who approves the financing and sends the funds?
The participating lender makes the credit decision, sets the terms and, on eligible programs, deposits the money with your company. Ottri Global LLC is a licensed loan broker, NMLS 2776988, and is not a lender.
Can we offer a cash discount or a today-only price on windows?
Not one that only cash buyers get. A higher price for financed homeowners can be a hidden finance charge under federal lending rules, and a today-only price that disappears during the 3-day window can misrepresent the right to cancel. Quote one price and let the homeowner choose how to pay; there’s no Ottri fee to cover.
