Dermatology financing questions, answered.
How can a dermatology practice offer patient financing?
A dermatology practice can use Ottri to introduce financing for eligible self-pay services through one practice-branded application. Your team shares the application with a clear service estimate and follows financing status in a shared workspace. Participating lenders determine eligibility, available amounts, and terms. Clinical recommendations remain with the dermatology practice.
Can cosmetic dermatology services be considered for financing?
An eligible cosmetic service may be considered when it fits the practice’s available lender programs. Start with the actual proposed procedure and written estimate, then confirm coverage under the applicable program. Dermatology is a broad category; eligibility for one service does not establish that every cosmetic procedure, package, or related charge can be financed.
How should we separate insured care from a self-pay estimate?
Clearly identify which services the patient is considering, what your practice expects to bill, and the amount the patient may need to pay. Confirm the proposed financing request against the available program. Ottri does not determine insurance benefits, copays, or deductibles, and financing should not be described as guaranteeing insurance reimbursement or coverage.
Can the front desk follow up without handling financial details?
Your team can introduce the branded application and let the patient complete sensitive information privately on their own device. Authorized staff can then use application status and required next steps in Ottri to guide financing follow-up. This gives the front desk a clear role while the patient enters their own information and the lender makes its credit decision.
What happens if the first lender declines the application?
A decline from one lender does not have to end the financing conversation. Ottri can continue through other eligible participating programs in its configured sequence, subject to routing rules and stop conditions. The patient starts with one branded application, and your team follows the status in Ottri. Each lender makes its own decision; another approval is not guaranteed.
What does Ottri cost, and how do we get started?
Ottri has no setup, subscription, or Ottri platform fees for practices. Create your practice account, complete onboarding, and begin sharing applications once your eligible programs are active. Lender or promotional costs, where applicable, depend on the program. Your team can start with the Get started free button on this page.
Does the application stay under our practice brand?
Yes. Your practice logo, colors, and identity remain part of the Ottri experience, with required lender identities and disclosures shown where applicable. Your team can introduce the application and let the patient complete sensitive information privately on their own device. Ottri does not sell patient applications as leads.
Who approves the financing and receives the funds?
The participating lender makes the credit decision and sets the financing terms. For funded treatments, the lender sends funds directly to your practice according to its program requirements and funding process. Ottri Global LLC is a licensed loan broker, NMLS 2776988, and is not a lender. Your team can track funding progress in Ottri.
What if the patient’s balance changes after the visit?
Review the updated services and balance against the lender’s program requirements. A different procedure, billing adjustment, or insurance response may require updated information or further review. Your coordinator can follow the application in Ottri and identify the next financing step. Confirm the revised amount with the participating program before presenting it as covered by financing.
Does checking financing options affect the patient’s credit?
The initial Ottri option check may use a soft credit inquiry that does not affect the patient’s credit score. If the patient chooses to proceed, a participating lender may perform a hard inquiry that can affect the score. The applicable information is presented before the patient continues. Inquiry type can vary by lender, product, and stage.
