Dental financing questions, answered.
How can our dental practice offer patient financing?
Dental patient financing lets a patient apply to pay for eligible dental services over time through a participating lender. Ottri gives your practice one branded application and one workspace for application status, follow-up, and funding progress. Introduce it alongside the treatment estimate so the patient can consider available payment options while discussing the proposed care.
When should the treatment coordinator introduce financing?
Bring it into the conversation when the patient understands the proposed care and the amount they may need to pay. Your coordinator can share a link or QR code with the estimate, explain how to begin, and let the patient continue privately. If the patient wants time to decide, the team can follow the application after the visit.
Can financing help with dental costs beyond insurance coverage?
Eligible out-of-pocket costs may be considered under participating lender programs. Start with a clear estimate of the services and the patient’s expected responsibility, and confirm what the available program can cover. Ottri does not determine insurance benefits or guarantee reimbursement. If an insurer’s response changes the balance, verify the amount and financing requirements before proceeding.
Can the front desk follow up after the dental consultation?
Authorized staff can see application status and required next steps in Ottri, so follow-up does not have to depend on the person who first introduced financing. The team can check whether the patient needs to continue the application or provide requested information. Keep the clinical treatment plan in your practice’s usual records; Ottri tracks the financing workflow.
What happens if the first lender declines the application?
A decline from one lender does not have to end the financing conversation. Ottri can continue through other eligible participating programs in its configured sequence, subject to routing rules and stop conditions. The patient starts with one branded application, and your team follows the status in Ottri. Each lender makes its own decision; another approval is not guaranteed.
What does Ottri cost, and how do we get started?
Ottri has no setup, subscription, or Ottri platform fees for practices. Create your practice account, complete onboarding, and begin sharing applications once your eligible programs are active. Lender or promotional costs, where applicable, depend on the program. Your team can start with the Get started free button on this page.
Does the application stay under our practice brand?
Yes. Your practice logo, colors, and identity remain part of the Ottri experience, with required lender identities and disclosures shown where applicable. Your team can introduce the application and let the patient complete sensitive information privately on their own device. Ottri does not sell patient applications as leads.
Who approves the financing and receives the funds?
The participating lender makes the credit decision and sets the financing terms. For funded treatments, the lender sends funds directly to your practice according to its program requirements and funding process. Ottri Global LLC is a licensed loan broker, NMLS 2776988, and is not a lender. Your team can track funding progress in Ottri.
Can dental implants and orthodontic treatment use the same approach?
The same branded application and team workflow can be used where the practice and proposed treatment fit an available lender program. Implant cases and orthodontic plans can raise different questions about estimates, treatment stages, and payment arrangements. Explore Ottri’s dental implant and orthodontic financing pages for those workflows. The participating lender determines which services and amounts it can finance.
Does checking financing options affect the patient’s credit?
The initial Ottri option check may use a soft credit inquiry that does not affect the patient’s credit score. If the patient chooses to proceed, a participating lender may perform a hard inquiry that can affect the score. The applicable information is presented before the patient continues. Inquiry type can vary by lender, product, and stage.
